Welcome to Go Dutch. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any data processed by our application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in our mobile application and related services.

2. Data Collection and Processing

Go Dutch operates as a serverless-enabled client application designed for maximum privacy:

• Local Storage: All bill-splitting calculations, item lists, and user configurations are stored and processed locally on your device. We do not store this data on our servers.
• Secure Receipt Scanning (AI): When you choose to scan a receipt, the image is securely sent to our serverless proxy endpoint to extract items and prices via Google Gemini API. This data is handled temporarily in transit and is not stored or logged permanently on our servers.
• Deep Link Sharing: The bill sharing feature serializes bill items into URL parameters. This data is handled in an anonymous format and optionally shortened using public URL shortener APIs (such as tinyurl.com or is.gd). We do not collect or track these shared links.

3. Device Permissions

To provide receipt scanning features, the application requests the following permissions:

• Camera: Used solely to capture receipt photos for scanning.
• Photo Library: Used solely to select existing receipt photos from your gallery.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Google Gemini API (via our secure serverless proxy) to parse receipt images. We do not share any personally identifiable information with Google.
